I opened volume mixer and have Roxio, Windows sound, speakers (and at one time a "no name" was showing up) There is no place to click "properties" in this window. When I right click speaker icon, my choices are Open volume mixer playback device recording device sounds. The 'recording' section is totally useless - the only slider that works there is microphone and for some reason Realtek put all the input controls in the output section ![]() Set the level and make sure it isn't muted In properties, select the appropriate 'In' connector you are using - there are a buncjh of different coloured ones and front as well as back) so that it shows on the volume control panel. ![]() However, try this: right click on the speaker icon in the task bar and select 'Adjust Audio Properties' - go to Audio, Options, Properties in the Audio OUTPUT section (believe me on this - I did say it was crazy). It's about the most contrary, frustrating thing I've ever had the misfortune to work with as it is causing me nothing but problems Gmk - I'll bet almost anything your problem is that Realtek HD sound chipset. WindowsMovieMaker does not recognize the DVC90 as a compatible device. I recently re-installed EMC10 to eliminate a 'Runtime Error' when I invoked MediaImport. Some where along the line I installed EMC10. Select Stereo Mix - Properties, Select 'Level' tab, and verify Stereo Mix is not muted. Make sure the Stereo Mix is 'enabled' and 'Working' (I had to disable 'Microphone' before Stereo mix had green check mark, as it would not let me set 'Stereo Mix' as default) I can't believe this, I was very hopeful. In capture, under the preview window, options, Dazzle still does not show up - just Realtech Hi Definition and my microphone. Updated Realtech to R1.79, everything installed and is recognized in Device Manager. ![]() Have the same driver numbers you listed for Dazzle.
